Which Smart City Challenges will you be working on?

The event starts with the challenge owners presenting their cases or problems to you. You can then chose a group and which of the following cases you would like to work on for the rest of the hackathon.

FOODWASTE: REDUCE AND RECYCLE
Reaching the goal of 1% reduction of waste per year and the 90% goal of recycling food waste in 2026.
Design question: How can we reduce or reuse the amount of food that is still being thrown out as garbage/residual waste?

ENERGY: ADDING VALUE WITH DATA
Improving energy-efficiency in municipal buildings.
Design question: How can data from existing IT systems, databases and sensors be combined to reduce energy waste and improve energy efficiency in buildings?

LINKS: SOCIAL MEDIA AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT
Improving communications when clouds burst. 
Design question: How can social media help communication between public authorities, first responders, citizens, and other relevant entities to improve warnings, public awareness, engagement and preparedness before, during and after a cloud burst flooding?
